The Ten Best Alternative Gout Remidies

Fresh water

First thing I do when I start to feel the initial first slight swelling and heat forming is to try to drink THREE PINTS OF WATER. I rarely manage all three pints, its usually two and a half but three is what I am aiming for. On the odd occasion just the three pints is enough to ease off the attack. You can actually feel it making a big difference to the gout sensations after only a few minutes. I then aim to drink as much more water as I sensibly feel safe to over the next few hours.

Raising heart rate

So you have added over two pints of water to your body. Water can be absorbed into the bloodstream in as little as five minutes with its maximum peak happening in around twenty minutes after drinking. If we want to dilute and dissolve crystals pumping the blood round a fair bit quicker is obviously going to be a huge help. Me personally would have already added taking an anti inflammatory if I felt the attack was going to be severe. If only a mild attack I tend to just use the ALTERNATIVES on offer here.

ADJUSTING Your bloods ph level

Sounds a bit drastic but no its not. At this level the gout is still coming on strong after trying methods 1 +2 and you can feel this is going to turn into one of those pain for weeks type of attack.

This is a new approach to treating gout but has been used by athletes to help neutralise lactic acid after training and competing mainly in the Martial arts world for the last 5 years plus.

RAISING LIMB

Raising the leg or arm relieves the blood pressure to the now swelling area. Pressure is pain and easing that is now priority. Laying down works best for most people and getting the swollen are above your heart level is the key. All pretty basic stuff but it all helps.
The proofs in the pudding. DOES IT WORK?

ICE - get it cold

We all know the effects of Ice on swelling its also a great pleasure putting something cold onto a burning ankle or hand.Inflammation is a sign of the body’s immune system kicking in and starting the healing process. However, ice packs prevent the inflammatory process and stop swelling, which in turn regulates blood supply to the region, speeding up healing. They numb the pain to an extent too.

Cherry juice

Personally I found cherry’s a good way to avoid gout attacks starting and i’m sure it helps keep it at arms length.
Once a GOUT ATACK had started to take told I found cherry juice had LITTLE or NO BENEFIT.
CATCHING AN ATTACK AS IT STARTS IS KEY!
